Our purpose
The LON6EVITY Health Library explains biomarkers, laboratory tests and prevention topics so that people can understand their own health data and have better conversations with their clinicians. It is educational and does not diagnose, treat or replace professional medical advice.
How we create content
Articles are written by the LON6EVITY editorial team. Every page starts from the question a reader is likely to have and answers it directly, then adds context. We only publish a page when we can say something genuinely useful and supported by reliable sources.
Sources we prefer
We prioritise clinical guidelines and public-health bodies — for example the World Health Organization, NIH and MedlinePlus, NIDDK, NHS, NICE, the European Society of Cardiology and the National Kidney Foundation — followed by peer-reviewed literature indexed in PubMed. Each factual claim should be traceable to a source listed at the bottom of the page. Where evidence is limited or experts disagree, we say so.
Reference ranges
When we show reference ranges or guideline thresholds, we name where they come from and explain that laboratories, units, age, sex and clinical context all affect interpretation. A single result is never presented as a diagnosis.
Medical review
Our content system supports a named medical reviewer and a 'last medically reviewed' date for each page. These fields are only displayed when a qualified reviewer has actually reviewed the page — we do not display reviewers who have not done so. Until then, pages show the author and last-updated date.
Keeping content current
Every page carries a last-updated date and an internal status (current, review required, outdated, draft). Pages are revisited when major guidelines change and at least periodically; pages flagged as outdated are corrected or removed from the library.
Corrections
If you believe something is inaccurate or out of date, please tell us via our contact page. We review every report, correct confirmed errors promptly and update the last-updated date.
Independence
The Health Library does not accept paid placements. Where we mention LON6EVITY features or membership, it is clearly presented as our product and kept separate from the educational explanation.
